This cuff is my
entry for the Etsy Beadweavers November Challenge called
"Ancestral Expressions". It got me to thinking
about family and how - really - we are all family. We all
belong to this one world and I wanted this piece to feel
like it had been around forever - passed from generation
to generation. And as the respective owner traveled to a
new place, little momentos were collected. The trinkets
are just that, nothing too precious or dear, just little
reminders of places visited, things seen and
"brothers and sisters" met along the way. It
also would help the wearer to remember those who had
owned the bracelet before - to never forget the
importance of the journey - to explore this world and get
to know the people who live there.
This is a close-up shot of a cuff I made for a good
